How it routes
Your rules decide every outcome
Before any template question, the agent asks which state the matter is in and whether the caller already has a lawyer. Then the first answer that matches a rule decides the route.
- The caller already has an attorneyDecline politely
- The case is in a state you don’t takeDecline or refer
- The caller is not safe, or not sureAttorney callback
- A child’s safety is at riskAttorney callback
- Responding to divorce papers or to a protective orderAttorney callback
- A court date or hearing within 30 daysAttorney callback
- Protective order matters, by defaultAttorney callback
- Everything else, by defaultBook consultation
What it never says. Never advises on custody, support or whether to file. The AI never decides whether a matter has merit.
Your templates
How you manage the templates
Every template is a starting point. Your attorneys decide what is asked and what each answer does, in the app, without code.
Start from a template
Each practice area comes with a starter template, every question in English and Spanish. Use it as it is, or change it.
Edit any question
Reword, reorder, add or remove questions. An answer can be a choice, a dropdown, several choices, a month and year, or free text.
Decide what each answer does
Any answer can stop the questions and route the matter: an attorney callback, an attorney review or a polite decline.
Add follow-ups
An answer can trigger short follow-up questions. Some ship switched off, ready to turn on when your attorneys want the extra detail.
Set rules per practice area
The default next step, book or callback, and for injury matters a filing-deadline window and an “urgent within N days” threshold.
One template, phone and chat
The same questions run on the voice agent and in web chat, so every inquiry is screened the same way.
More on screening and routing: intake.
FAQ
Questions about family law intake
Divorce, child custody and support, and protective or restraining orders. For anything else, a general family template asks what the caller needs, what has been filed, any court date, children, safety, the county and the other party’s name.
Divorce and protective order intake both ask about safety. If a caller is not safe, the matter goes straight to an attorney callback, and in divorce intake the agent also points them to 911 and the domestic violence hotline.
So your firm can check for conflicts before the consultation. The question tells the caller why it is asked, and the caller can skip it.
No. It never advises on custody, support or whether to file. It records the facts and routes the matter on your rules.
Every family law call, handled with care.
