AI intake for immigration law firms
Immigration callers often need Spanish, and some have a hearing next week. Basalix AI answers in English or Spanish, runs the starter template for the kind of matter, and sends anything urgent to an attorney instead of the next open slot.
14-day free trial. No credit card, nothing auto-charges.

How it routes
Your rules decide every outcome
Before any template question, the agent asks which state the matter is in and whether the caller already has a lawyer. Then the first answer that matches a rule decides the route.
- The caller already has an attorneyDecline politely
- A court date, interview or filing deadline within 30 daysAttorney callback
- Someone is detained nowAttorney callback
- The person has been denied, deported or arrested beforeAttorney callback
- A visa status is expiring soonAttorney callback
- Removal defense matters, by defaultAttorney callback
- A citizenship caller has had a green card under 3 yearsAttorney review
- Lives in a state you don’t serve, if you turn the state check onDecline or refer
- Everything else, by defaultBook consultation
What it never says. Never comments on eligibility, status or the chances of a case. The AI never decides whether a matter has merit.
Your templates
How you manage the templates
Every template is a starting point. Your attorneys decide what is asked and what each answer does, in the app, without code.
Start from a template
Each practice area comes with a starter template, every question in English and Spanish. Use it as it is, or change it.
Edit any question
Reword, reorder, add or remove questions. An answer can be a choice, a dropdown, several choices, a month and year, or free text.
Decide what each answer does
Any answer can stop the questions and route the matter: an attorney callback, an attorney review or a polite decline.
Add follow-ups
An answer can trigger short follow-up questions. Some ship switched off, ready to turn on when your attorneys want the extra detail.
Set rules per practice area
The default next step, book or callback, and for injury matters a filing-deadline window and an “urgent within N days” threshold.
One template, phone and chat
The same questions run on the voice agent and in web chat, so every inquiry is screened the same way.
More on screening and routing: intake.
FAQ
Questions about immigration intake
Family immigration and green cards, citizenship and naturalization, deportation and removal defense, and work and student visas. For anything else, a general immigration template asks what the caller needs, what has been filed, any deadline and the preferred language, and you add your own questions.
Not by default. The agent asks which state the caller lives in, but immigration matters are not declined on state unless you switch the state check on.
Yes, on every plan. Every question in the templates has a Spanish version, and the agent switches when the caller asks. See bilingual answering.
No. It records the facts and routes the matter on your rules. It never comments on eligibility, status or the chances of a case.
