AI intake for personal injury law firms

Accident callers phone at night and sign with the first firm that picks up. Basalix AI answers every personal injury inquiry by phone or web chat, runs the starter template for that kind of case, and books the consultation or hands the matter to an attorney on the rules you set.

14-day free trial. No credit card, nothing auto-charges.

How it routes

Your rules decide every outcome

Before any template question, the agent asks which state the matter is in and whether the caller already has a lawyer. Then the first answer that matches a rule decides the route.

  • The caller already has an attorneyDecline politely
  • It happened in a state you don’t takeDecline or refer
  • Someone diedAttorney callback
  • An insurer has made a settlement offerAttorney callback
  • A workers’ comp claim was denied, or the caller was let goAttorney callback
  • The incident date is near the filing-deadline window you setAttorney callback
  • No one was hurt, or the caller says they were at faultAttorney review
  • Everything else, by defaultBook consultation

What it never says. Never estimates what a case is worth or comments on fault. The AI never decides whether a matter has merit.

Your templates

How you manage the templates

Every template is a starting point. Your attorneys decide what is asked and what each answer does, in the app, without code.

  • Start from a template

Each practice area comes with a starter template, every question in English and Spanish. Use it as it is, or change it.

  • Edit any question

Reword, reorder, add or remove questions. An answer can be a choice, a dropdown, several choices, a month and year, or free text.

  • Decide what each answer does

Any answer can stop the questions and route the matter: an attorney callback, an attorney review or a polite decline.

  • Add follow-ups

An answer can trigger short follow-up questions. Some ship switched off, ready to turn on when your attorneys want the extra detail.

  • Set rules per practice area

The default next step, book or callback, and for injury matters a filing-deadline window and an “urgent within N days” threshold.

  • One template, phone and chat

The same questions run on the voice agent and in web chat, so every inquiry is screened the same way.

More on screening and routing: intake.

FAQ

Questions about personal injury intake

Car, truck and motorcycle accidents, which share one motor vehicle template, dog bites, slip and fall and other premises cases, workers’ comp and product liability. For any other injury matter, a general injury template asks the common questions and you add your own.

Every injury template dates the incident by month and year. You set a filing-deadline window and an “urgent within N days” threshold per practice area, and a matter close to it goes to an attorney callback instead of a self-booked slot. Your attorneys judge the deadline; the agent only records the date.

No. It records the facts and routes the matter on your rules. It never estimates what a case is worth, comments on fault or gives legal advice.

Every injury template asks how serious the injuries were. “Someone died” sends the matter straight to an attorney callback rather than a self-booked consultation.
